MUNK is an Italo-German DJ and musician who dabbles in disco, house, pop, rock, balearic, techno, and any other sound that tickles his dick and gets his blood flowing. He also runs the stellar GOMMA label, home to Who Made Who, Headman, Goldenbug, and the newest kids to be blowing up the block - Belgium DJ/production duo Mustang - and that's just naming a few. This dude's got hustle, and RAW likes hustle. RAW likes hustlers even more, especially hot and bothered street boys with oily hair and tattered jeans, but this isn't about our weekly sexcapades. No, instead, we're focusing on MUNK, whose attention to clean, deep rooted beats, impeccable synth stabs and scattered hand claps have culminated in some of the best SHIT to come outta Germany in quite some time. Some of his peers in the industry have been dubbing him and the GOMMA label as the "German DFA"...not too bad, eh?
Italian actress Asia Argento sings on three songs from his most recent album, Cloudbuster, including the two tracks below, Live Fast, Die Old! and No Milk. Hearing her scream, "Live fast! Die old! I don't wanna die, I just wanna love!," over and over, building from a mild whisper to a reverb-heavy riot grrrl scream is furiously hypnotic. You can't help but pound your foot on the pavement as you scream those same spine-tingling sentiments. We're currently sCreaming over the two remixes below, both available for your downloading pleasure.

RAW loves The Revenge and we certainly have a sweet tooth for disco, so combine those two and you've got us in a frenzy. That's exactly what happened when we stumbled across the Revenge rework of Hot Chocolate's classic disco jam, Heaven's in the Backseat of My Cadillac. Formed in in the UK in the early 1970s, Hot Chocolate (originally called The Hot Chocolate Band, but later shortened by Mickie Most, their first major label producer) was first noticed for their reggae remix of John Lennon's Give Peace A Chance. In the late 1970s, Hot Chocolate changed direction and incorporated a more soulful, disco-influenced sound and went on to score chart-topping hits with songs like Brother Louie, You Sexy Thing, and So You Win Again. The band continued making hits well into the 1980s, but disbanded in 1986, when cowriter Errol Brown pursued solo success, which he never found after Hot Chocolate.
Fast forward almost 25 years and The Revenge is giving us a slick, extended, disco-dance-ready rework on a timeless classic.
